ALLSAFE launches 'De Kluis'

De Kluis has been developed for everyone seeking maximum security – from current renters to people for whom home safes and existing solutions fall short. As banks phase out safe deposit services and demand grows for greater control over valuable possessions, the need for secure external storage solutions is rising. In a time of economic uncertainty, privacy concerns, and limited living space, people are looking for safe, flexible, and space-saving alternatives outside the home. According to Bank Nieuws, the number of safe deposit box providers rose 5% in the first quarter of 2024, driven in part by growing interest in gold investments and an increasing need for safe, reliable storage of valuable possessions.

Home security also remains a concern: last year, police registered 22,305 home burglaries – an average of more than 60 per day. Many home safes offer insufficient protection against professional burglars. Without proper certification and anchoring, they can be relatively easy to open or even carry away. That's why De Kluis by ALLSAFE sets a new standard: stricter security than the law requires, combined with maximum flexibility.

Discreet, anonymous, 24/7 monitoring and generous opening hours

De Kluis was designed with one goal: maximum security and discretion. Renters can drive in anonymously and discreetly, without encountering anyone. Access is fully automated and runs through an advanced, state-of-the-art access control system with card, code, and palm scan verification. Only the renter has access to their safe deposit space. While De Kluis itself is fully automated and uses the most advanced technology, it is located within a staffed ALLSAFE branch, where customers can also make use of additional services such as storage space, moving assistance, a PostNL parcel point, and packaging materials. All under one roof.

The bank vault is a fully secured safe room with between 500 and 3,000 individual safe deposit lockers and holds Security Grade VII, the highest security standard in the Netherlands. With this, ALLSAFE sets a new standard for vaults. The vaults are accessible six days a week without an appointment, during office hours.

Nationwide rollout

De Kluis launches in Den Haag Zuid and will be rolled out to all ALLSAFE branches. With more than 50 locations currently and planned growth to 240 locations within ten years, ALLSAFE aims to set a new standard for safe, accessible storage of valuable possessions with De Kluis.
